GASOS Safety is a technology and services provider to the oil and gas industry in Abu Dhabi. Since 1972, GASOS has provided pioneering services to the oil and gas industry. First, through sponsorship of world renowned oil service companies; second by marketing oilfield related equipment and services and last by introduction of fire-fighting, safety and protection related equipment and services.
For many years GASOS has been a good relationship of SK sister company Knowsley, that provides fire safety solutions for the oil and gas sector. From the need to enhance cooperation, the desire arose to also buy portable extinguishers from Knowsley. Given that Knowsley does not have self-produced portable fire extinguishers in the assortment, from a quality perspective this need was answered under the banner of SK by using the fire extinguishers from Saval. However, these extinguishers should be certified for the Abu Dhabi market.
A reason for Saval to train GASOS employees on location in Abu Dhabi to become Certified Service Technicians for Saval fire extinguishers. According to the strict guidelines of the Dutch REOB maintenance arrangement, Wim van der Zwan, Manager Training & Consultancy at Saval, prepared and tested the GASOS staff. This successful training lead GASOS Safety to be an official “Approved Saval Service Centre” for the complete range of Saval extinguishers.
